Why can't music nowadays sound more like this? You know: Actual vocals, actually playing instruments and having lyrics that AREN'T about money, hoes, gangsters, days of the week or hair moving back and forth.

I hear you. I still think there is some awesome music out there its just not being heard and its hard to find, well it is for me! <_<

Queen - I Want To Break Free:

Why is this music video flagged, how bloody stupid!

I am the only one who likes 80's Queen, why it is a big deal to people that they used synthesizers and drum machines they still used bass, drums, guitar and piano. They always rocked in my opinion! B)

Elton John - Circle of Life:

Elton John - Can You Feel The Love Tonight:

Both contain feelings that sum up my early childhood, I am sure some of you can relate. ;)

Hard to think that the Lion King came out 17 years ago.

Assemblage 23 - Bi-Polar:

Woah, this is really dark I like it how swings from one extreme to the next especially during the chorus, but I really shouldn't be listening to stuff like this right now. :(

Lyrics:

I haven't felt so alive in years,

The sun is shining down on me.

My eyes are welling up with tears,

Tears of joy, tears of ecstasy.

Emotions I once kept concealed,

Now flow freely like a river.

Life's great mysteries revealed,

Love's great promises delivered.

I hate my life, I want to die,

I was just pretending all this time,

A mask I wear so I don't bare,

My soul to the cold, harsh world out there.

Try to prevail but only fail,

Each time on a grander and grander scale.

My life is worthless and so am I,

I hate my life I want to die.

The landscape rises to meet my feet,

The sky descends to fill my arms.

For once I finally feel complete,

For once I know I can't be harmed.

All I know is light and love,

I feel that I could live forever.

While others' troubles seem to grow,

I have no problems whatsoever.

The epiphany that came to fall,

Finally helped me reconcile,

What I felt wasn't joy at all,

All this time it was just denial.

Just bought this off of iTunes:

(Nobody has uploaded the full song to YouTube yet, so here's the WWE.com video)

"Realeza" ~Theme Of Alberto Del Rio~

Composed by: Jim Johnston (WWE)

Performed by: Mariachi Real De Mexico

Easily one of Jim Johnston's best works.

"And so did The End To All Things unhinge its monstrous maw and bellow forth its mighty roar of desolation and horror, consuming The Golden Kingdom in holocaust. The Chandelier which hung over the faltering world of Man by a thinner thread than would exist alongside security awaited the chance to fall, defying The Angels who danced with haste toward their enemy . . . and the sacrificial fires of liberation."

Why did I have to by a PS3?

I'm listening to this in preparation for the next Weird Al album that's coming in June.

And I've been on this massive Grunge binge for the past few days; listening to Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Soundgarden, so I thought this kind of fit the mood. :D

He was only good when he was in Genesis anyway.

LOL!

I like his 'No Jacket Required' album!

Prog Genesis or Pop Genesis? :)

Not sure, I've only heard their 1983 album (just called Genesis) and assorted songs on the radio.

Pop Genesis, they were a big Prog Rock band back in the 70's when Peter Gabriel was the lead vocalist and Phil Collins was just the Drummer and backing vocalist! :)

Don't know, I can't say I know their Progressive stuff I just obsessively and compulsively read a lot about music, musicans and band, music equipment etc.... ^_^

I know mostly about their 80's Pop Rock work. :)
