I've been jumping around to various stations on Pandora since first using the service, but the last month or so has been primarily one of the Indie stations. The following one really caught my attention, from a band out of London:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=84no_HITKFo

Somewhere I'd never have known

Right at the back of my head
It hit me like a beam of light

I love the beat and especially the lyrics (to the point where I find myself singing along a lot). There were a few other songs they'd done that I have on my Pandora (which have pushed me to look up their other endeavours) which I really liked, such as:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uQKjI6395iU

I don't want to wake up in the morning
But I've got to face the day
That's what all the friends I do not like as much as you say

Good band and a pretty nice introduction to Indie (at least by Pandora standards). I'm going to have to keep a much closer eye on the scene since getting back into my old Audiophile habits.

On the Trance front, I've been looking more to the upbeat variations/remixes with lyrical depth. A really good example of what I mean by Armin van Buuren:

Sometimes the sound of goodbye, is louder than any drumbeat~

Or Foggy's 'Come Into My Dream':

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ETRI9dstjWg

In my dreams, you and I could fly
and the ocean shines so bright

Gotta say though, I've been finding myself listening to Lindsey Stirling's work a lot as well. I'm not a big Dubstep fan but her work sounds really, really good. Particularly fond of 'Shadows':

I've known of her work for years but never actually started listening until very recently.

DJ BoBo - Vampires Are Alive

In March 2007, the conservative Swiss Christian party Federal Democratic Union of Switzerland filed a petition with almost 50,000 signatures to withdraw this song from the contest. They accused the song of Satanism

Sea Bottom Segue has grown on me over the months, it's probably my favorite Song for any Water Level (though Hydrocity and Aquarium Park aren't far behind). It's such a beautiful track, representing the mystery and wonder of the Lost Hex's Water area perfectly.

DnB group Noisia and dubstep rappers Foreign Beggars team up for one sick-ass collaboration album. I bought the album last night and love it.

YE! Cloud Nothings' new album is poppy and grungy and soaked in hooks and distortion atop a base of thundering drums and a vocal style that's somehow kind of shitty but also the best thing I've ever heard. If you can make it through the chorus without wanted to sing along you're not human, your heart is frozen and you're a bitter husk of a being that's lost all feeling within the brittle, cold husk you call a body.

Their album last year, attack on memory (or did that come out in 2012? I think it was 2012) is pretty much one of my favourite albums ever

And together, we'll show you how to improvise

Reminiscing on the wild style 75

'Cos it's the brothers on the mic, occupying the drum

We take 4 MCs and make it sound like one

Since Foster the People announced they were bringing out a new album this year, I've gotten really into their old album again. Really good stuff. This song is a favourite of mine in particular, I just love everything about it. Pumped Up Kicks and Houdini are very good too.

I've also been hearing this a lot from the Artic Monkeys which I really like. I've never really been into Artic Monkeys before so this is making me consider going and getting some past albums of theirs. If you have any recommendations, let me know, I'm very open to it.

This song man. Wow, I don't know how many times I've listened to it(I've owned it for like a month and a half now), but it just never gets old or less of a joy to hear. Like the title of the song, it makes me "Happy!"

At least one of the copies of album Brizgaaaaj! - "Splaaaash!" - crossed the Atlantic Ocean and was delivered to American polka star, four time Grammy nominee - Lynn Marie of Nashville.

Stella Mwangi - Haba Haba

Stella’s break onto the African hip-hop scene came with her guest appearances on the Senegalese rap duo Wageble’s debut album “Senegal”, which was produced by Big City Music’s producer Tom Roger “Rumblin” Rogstad

So I started watching Soul Eater last night and....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vZBHLiM7Soc&noredirect=1

Why is this OP so awesome?

(Also I would find a version with just the song and not the actual OP in the video but I don't have the time right now)

I love Soul Eater, and the first opening theme is such a good song, in my opinion. It's always a good sign when an opening theme gets me pumped for what's to come, and that theme song does the job. Also, I think it does a fantastic job in capturing the timbre of Soul Eater as a whole. In other words, it fits the tone like a glove.

Right now I am listening to some more djent/progressive metalcore in the form of Bermuda and their Swedish compatriots in Humanity's Last Breath. God, I love their music. I just love how disgustingly heavy they've made their sound. The former sounds like an even angrier version of Mediaskare labelmates Volumes, and the latter is almost exactly the same as what I've heard in Vildhjarta. Well, I guess it all makes sense since both Humanity's Last Breath and Vildhjarta are from Sweden. I guess they all drink the same water. biggrin.png

Bermuda - Process of Drowning

Humanity's Last Breath - "Void"

Whenever I need a bit of motivation (in the 'POW! Let's do this!' sense), I like to pop this on.

It encourages me on the same level as Spandau Ballet's Gold -- and that's a lot.
