The only possible justification for this that I can think of is that they're trying to tie it in with Bayonetta... somehow. It's still a extremely dumb move on their part, though.

I really don't see what is so bad about the game. I mean gameplay wise it looks fantastic. Now as for how Dante himself looks....no redemption.
