Thanks for the encouragement, Dusk, I feel a lot better now I will be playing it some more later.

It does seem like a really good game, it could potentially be the best Sonic ever as some people here have said, if it picks up the speed a little and I get more used to the controls.

I really haven't liked the Starlight Carnival level so far, it looked like it would be the most fun level in the game, and it's quite a spectacle but it's so automated for the speed parts and so dull in the platforming parts - and I don't get the whole thing where the springs send you up off of the top of the level and you have to control Sonic off screen, I find that odd...

Elite, the 3D does control better than it did in Unleashed, yeah, there's never the feeling that you're going to fly off the edges like it's out of your control or anything, but it still takes some getting used to, the controls are quite 'exaggerated', not quite Sonic '06 exaggerated, but not as smooth as SA2's. Feels kinda like SA1's 3D controls... But something still doesn't feel right about it, I still find myself relieved when returning to 2D.

After beating the game, I can now say this:

Sonic Colors is the best Sonic game. Ever.

That's right, it trumps S3&K. I wouldn't give it its own tier, but I'd put it at the top of the God Tier of Sonic games. Right there with Sonic 2, S3&K, and CD.

The Spanish version of the game has the zones names in english.

Help please guys. I completed the Sonic Simulator and have access to 1-3 but I still can't get the emerald. It's just a goal ring.

It does, but I think it's better to leave them like that, I don't want anything like Sonic X again (lol Dr.Huevo/Nudillos/Colas/Sombra).

But if you want to know the names you could... translate them yourself, it's not that hard.

- Resort Tropical (creo que la palabra Resort tambien la usamos aqui, yo les digo Hoteles y como que no queda)

- Montaña Dulce

- Carnaval Estelar (uso "Estelar" en lugar de "Luz estelar" aqui, creo que queda mejor)

- Planeta Wisp

- Parque Acuario (creo que acuático quedaría mejor)

- Velocidad Terminal

The only problem would be Asteroid Coaster since here we call the Rollecoasters "Montaña Rusa", it's a little long name and doesn't seem to be able to be mixed with the word "Asteroide" like in english.

Unless you want to write the whole thing and call it "Montaña Rusa Asteroide".

Dude....its not that bad. It actually a pretty good platforming challenge.

So was Casino Street Act 3, which was cannon hell, at least the yellow spring level can be almost entirely ignored, there's 6 acts per zone, so it isn't worthy of being called a flaw in my book.

It can't be ignored... It won't let me progress until I beat it... But what I mean is I haven't really enjoyed any of the game so far, maybe a couple of little moments, but a lot of it has been boring and frustrating sidescrolling platforming, and very 'flat', kinda Mario style, not with all the curves and loops and stuff you usually get from Sonic, and it all seems very slow... This level was 'the last straw' for me really.

Flat? What? Are you using the Wisps? This has to be the least linear Sonic ever, and with tons of platforming, which is great.

Other levels are much more geometrically interesting.

Though I haven't seen much of Starlight Carnival to be honest.

The level really isn't that hard, you just have to be patient.

Trust me, if you drop the game there, you'll be missing out on a LOT.

Namely Aquarium Park. The level design for that stage is vast. I mean seriously, HUGE; above water sections; slightly underwater, deeper underwater, even deeper underwater then sea floor.

I'm assuming that you didn't drop Sonic 3 and Knuckles because the barrel confused you, or because Sandopolis act 2 was a drag.

Think of the "Sping" to be the barrel of this game.

Just don't try to use logic here, just don't, it isn't worth it. Anyway, to avoid a argument, I love the platforming in this game, how about you guys? I'm glad they got rid of the obvious automation that the previous 3D games had.

I'm implying that he hasn't even tried going through the whole game yet still he's judging it. I understand your intentions but I just think it isn't really worth asking until he plays through the whole game.
