What stages do you want to see in Sonic Generations?

Question: Do we think zones will be unlocked in the order they originally appeared in? If yes, I think we can use that to sort of guess what zone's we'll be getting.

For example: I'd like to see Planet Wisp, but Planet Wisp wouldn't make a very good final level.

I'd like to run around more on Planet Wisp if we get less Metal Contraptions and more green grass and alien skies.

I assume the final level will go the way of 06's End of the World.

Moving though each level at once again would be a blast. Come to think of it, I wouldn't mind End of the World being the stage to represent 06.

I want the final boss to take place in the Special Stage, and to be a conglomeration of all the special stages in the series.

BBAE.

Best boss arena ever.

Is there a chance any of the Storybook levels will be in Generations? I would love to see Sand Oasis in 2-D.

Thank you! I'm so glad to know someone else wants to see an untouched version of Planet Wisp. The CGI cutscenes looked so beautiful there.

I've been thinking the same thing, but I feel like we'll still get some sort of Eggmanland type stage before the "true" last level.

Again, I'm really hoping the levels won't go in chronological order.

Otherwise, I don't really have too many preferences

I hope they don't either, I would like to see "Final Zone" be final just for the hell of it. :P

Hello Hello

My list. I have 2 Zones of each game. Can't decite which I prefer more:

-Sonic 1

Starlight Zone

Marble Zone

-Sonic 2

Casino Night Zone

Oil Ocean Zone

-Sonic 3

Angel Island Zone

Icecap Zone

-Sonic & Knuckles

Mushroom Hill Zone

Sandtropolis Zone

-Sonic CD

Stardust Speedway

-Sonic Adventure 2(Battle)

City Escape

Metal Habor

-Sonic Colors

Starlight Carnival

Asteroid Coaster

-Sonic Unleashed

Chun-Nan(PS3-Version)

Eggmanland(Wii-Verson)

Eggmanland Wii version? Why not a tweaked version of Eggmanland in the HD version? It'll be way more enjoyable, since the Werehog isn't in it...and you aren't forced to switch with him halfway through the level.

Eggmanland HD was a pain in the ass. IF there is Eggmanland they redesign it anyways I gues. But actually you are right.

Just "Eggmanland" then. Without any version. :P

I might actually stop playing if Asteroid Coaster is like it was in Colours, that's the only part of Colours that I put down my controller and gave the game my finger and stopped playing for days.

Remember GHZ from Superstars Tennis?

It looks really similar to what they've done for Generations now, what with the giant totem poles and added details like vines and such. I was so impressed with GHZ in that game, and now just a few years on we have something to put it to shame, and in a real game no less. I'm so happy with what Sonic Team have done so far.

There was Scrap Brain Zone in SST as well. It's exciting to imagine what makeover the levels are going to get.

hm. Why? Too hard? Too easy? boring? ^^

But I doubt that this Stage is like in Colors. I could image that they do it like in Eggmanland... Maybe? ^^

@Blue Blood

This is "GHZ" what it looks like. What do you expect?^^

The stages pretty much played itself except for when you had to do a homing attack every other minute or when you had to chew through things as Nega-Wisp Sonic. It was really dull, and if you dared miss a homing attack by a second it was a direct fall to the endless pit... EVERY TIME. Like when you had to homing attack the asteroids, I can't tell you how many times Sonic wouldn't homing attack them.

I'm going to limit my stages to up to two reps per game.

Classic era:

(S2) Chemical Plant Zone - This was the most memorable level for me as a kid imo, especially the section in which you're in purple goo and trying to rise to the surface. With the the promotional toy featuring one of the badniks, I'd be surprised if this level didn't make it in.

Honorable mentions - Aquatic Ruin Zone

(S3) Ice Cap Zone - The first (and best) Snow level in a Sonic game. Sonic Adventure had a nice one, but it doesn't compare. Stage music is also wicked. Nothing else really needs to be said.

Honorable mentions - Hyrodcity Zone, Angel Island Zone

(S&K) I would honestly be OK with any of the following: Flying Battery Zone, Sky Santuary Zone, & Death Egg Zone.

Dreamcast Era:

(SA1) Lost World - This level had alot of untapped potential. There were so many great ideas, but it felt very rough seeing as this was Sonic's first transition into 3D.

(SA1) Twinkle Park - I haven't really played any Sonic games in awhile, but from what I can remember, there hasn't really been alot of theme park-themed levels (outside of Sonic Colors). This level would be a nice subsitute.

Honorable mentions - Emerald Coast, Red Mountain

(SA2) City Escape - The very first level that kicks off SA2. This one's basically confirmed because of a) the dude who recorded City Escape stated that he's rerecording it and B ) the G.U.N. robot toys for commemoration of Sonic's 20th anniversary.

Honorable mentions - Pearl Harbor, Green Forest

Modern Era:

(SH) Mystic Mansion - No other Sonic games have really done the haunted house theme before, plus this was probably one of the more creative stages featured in Heroes.

Honorable mentions - None really, alot of the levels in Sonic Heroes were done better in the games that precede and follow it.

(SNG) Kingdom Valley - This level will probably make it in due to it being the first level revealed for Next Gen Sonic. tbh, I'm kindof tired of this level, but hey, I wouldn't mind this level making it in.

(SNG) Crisis City - The post apocalyptic future of Silver the Hedgehog. People from other message boards really seem to have a strong disdain for this level, I however feel that (as previously stated above) that they are capable of really breathing some life back into it.

Honorable mentions - N/A.

(SU) - I wouldn't mind Apotos or Spagonia (I probably spelt both of those wrong lol)

(SC) Planet Wisp - My favorite level from Colors, and also the stage setter for the game as well. There's alot of things about this level I like, from the environment right down to the music. My only wish is that they concentrate more on the the lush green sections of it rather than the industrial parts.

Honorable mentions - Sweet Mountain, Tropical Resort

If they doing a Sonic CD Stage, I hope they oriented towards the japanese music. Don't like the US versions. :S

It would be interestering if they use the sound of each game for the invincibility music. :D

I'd like the Japanese version, too, honestly. It just feels more Sonicy to me... especially in the cases of Quartz Quadrant, Collision Chaos, and Metallic Madness. 8|

I actually can't remember any of the Sonic CD soundtracks at all beyond Sonic Boom and You Can Do Anything.

Tust me. As Mega said. It feels more "Sonicy" :P.. And it sounds better overall. Especially 'Stardust Speedway'.^^

The US soundtrack has some good songs, but they feel out of place in the levels, IMO. Take Collision Chaos for example. It's a bright, colorful level with bumpers and a pinball theme.

But the US version is.... really different. Even before I really realized there were two soundtracks, I never liked this track.

That's really my only gripe about it too. Some of the 'Good Future' songs sound like they should be 'Past' level songs.

I mostly side with the Jap/Eu soundtrack.
