What stages do you want to see in Sonic Generations?

There are no hub worlds, just interactive menus. We've seen screenshots of these already.

Has there been any OFFICIAL announcement saying that. we won't 100% know for sure yet.

In one preview not long after the game was announced, they talked about hub worlds. The details were sparse and it eventually became obvious they were in fact referring to the new menu system SEGA seemed keen on plugging at first.

For extra unlockable locations, f they are extra areas, and not just extra missions, these are what they should have...

-S1 - Marble Zone (I'm actually very fond of this zone)

-S2 - Flying Battery (If it doesn't appear in Rooftop Run)

-S3K - Angel Island

-SA - Twinkle Park

-SA2 - Radical Highway (Yes I know this wasn't a Sonic level)

-SH - Hang Castle Screw it... -S&tSR - Night Palace

-S06 - Flame Core

-SU - Chun-nan

-SC - Tropical Resort

I'd love to see Crisis City from STH (2006). That could be done really well for Generations.

Ooh...Pumpkin Hill from SA2 and Glyphic Canyon from Shadow The Hedgehog would also be great...although the chances of those are remote, I know, as they didn't involve Sonic.

If I had to choose the hub worlds (which aren't likely to happen):

Green Hill - Marble Zone, maybe just a bit of the ruins just on the outskirts of Green Hill

Chemical Plant - I guess wither Emerald Hill or that city on the outskirts of it

Sky Sanctuary - Hidden Palace, which is the obvious choice

Speed Highway - Station Square, again obvious choice

City Escape - Either in the G.U.N. Helicoptor from before Sonic jumps down into the city (I believe there was also a SOAP blimp in the SA2 multiplayer) or a park in the city

Seaside Hill - Sea Gate, obviously

Crisis City - Castle Town, seeing as it did connect to Crisis City if I'm not mistaken, if not then inside of that place where Eggman sent Sonic and pals to the future (I believe it was Aquatic Base)

Rooftop Run - I guess inside/outside of the University

Planet Wisp - I guess either Tropical Resort, an elevator leading to the area, or a ship from Starlight Carnival

And if there are Hubs for the bosses (which is more doubtful then the ones for the stages):

Metal Sonic - Stardust Speedway Present (there could probably be a time post that you can pass through before going to the boss)

Death Egg Robo - The Tornado either ascending into outer space or flying around the Death Egg looking for an entrance

Shadow - I guess a little space inside of the A.R.K. (Metal Harbor if it takes place in Green Forest)

Perfect Chaos - On the deck of the Egg Carrier 2.0 as it circles over the destroyed city

Silver - Somewhere in Soleanna, maybe around the area where the festival was held in the game's intro

Egg Dragoon - Eggmanland

Time Eater - A blank space

Boss hubs aren’t likey.Like at all. Hell none of the sonic games have done that yet. I just don’t see why they aren’t unlikely in this game. They were in unleashed and when colors uses a map select that automaticaly makes it unlikely this game won’t get them.? Again i’m just wondering. but i like your choice in hubs for stages. (Like the park idea for city escape). I also think jacks idea of a hub wold is cool. sonic jam style. becasue of the missions.

Perhaps it has something to do with the complete lack of references to any sort of hubworlds in the demo files. Or the fact that we've seen the interactive menu the game uses. Or perhaps when hubworlds were accidentally confirmed by Iizuka, everyone flipped out, and Aaron Webber immediately clarified that we are NOT dealing with traditional hubworlds, hinting at the interactive menu.

Well the data thing was still not convincing for me. but i didn't know aaron said that so okay then..... But i still would like hubs. They would just seem so interesting in this game. I never said they WOULD be in but i do like the concept. especially for this game. Oh well though. i would like though some sort of hub thing besides the menu that we've seen. I would be very surprised if we got A hub world though for the whole game. just one main hub. that would be interesting. but not likely.

Although it would be cool if the museum that was leaked was inside the spagonia university or something and played you walked around as sonic like in unleashed or something.

Also no offense but it did sound kinda rude the way you wrote that.mellow.png

To be honest, I'm leaning on the Hub Worlds being a mix of Sonic Unwiished and Unleashed.

They'll be "Interactive" Because you're moving Sonic in environments. But these environments are tiny, small versions of the stage.

The Demo Files aren't completely finished, there.

Yeah, a screenshot of the interactive menus. We don't see the full picture.

Aaron Webber also said some stuff in the demo files were inaccurate, but I doubt we'll be seeing anything that different. :V

They're interactive menus, not hubs. The only things in the demo files that might not make their way way into the final games are various textures and perhaps missions. What he said was merely damage control.

I still have a few questions about this if this is replacing the hub:

1.How will you access the missions? By characters?

maybe characters like gamma, tikal, marinne, big, chip, pro. pickle, yacker and other characters along with the amigo characters will give you them. depending on the stage your in.

After watching the Sky Sanctuary trailer, I became aware of something. This post wil spoil a level, so don't read on if you don't want to know it.

Each of the ending levels of each era is pretty much the epitome of beauty that era. Sky Sanctuary is the most beautiful level in that era, Seaside Hill could be argued to be this, moreso than an other Heroes at the very least, and Planet Wisp was the most beautiful area this era. I find this pretty interesting.

To quote Sonic, "This place takes beauty to the next level!" :P

That hsn't been revealed yet, but maybe the missions will be selectable on a map screen similar to how acts were accessed in Sonic Colors.

According to Blue Blood, the HD Classic Sonic also has the HA programmed in.

Anyway, Radical Highway is an odd choice, being a Shadow level and all. Still, it was a great level. Can't wait to be shot down by jets in 3D. Although, I would have liked to see Metal Harbor.

I hope Emerald Coast has some underwater segments.

Radical Highway ain't a bad choice. I mean, it's pretty iconic, and definitely is terrific representation of Sonic Adventure 2. Not to mention, it's not at all water-related, like Emerald Coast, so both levels stand out a lot more, back-to-back. The only thing I find odd is it's, again, a SHADOW stage; Sonic never even had a highway-themed stage in Adventure 2. Still, I like it overall; the 3DS will have a varied list after all. I just am curious to see what other stages will make it on the list. My guess is Water Palace from Sonic Rush, then something from either Secret Rings, or Tropical Resort from Sonic Colors.

Also... Classic Sonic has a homing attack in-game in that version?

According to Blue Blood, the HD Classic Sonic also has the HA programmed in to a certain extent. Whether or not it's incomplete leftovers (because he's built off of M.Sonic) or Jimmy didn't fully enable it is another matter. And let's not forget how remnants of the HA show up all the time in the demo- C.Sonic will occasionally strike a pose in mid air as though he'd used the HA.

Thats not realy a homing attack, its more like an air dash. sonic only goes straight, so youd have to be leveld with the enemy.

The coding in the game refers to a Classic homing attack, and like I said, it's unclear whether it's just the remnants of C.Sonic being built off of M.Sonic or if it's just not been fully restored.

I hope Emerald Coast has some underwater segments.

From the screenshots I've seen it looks like it will be a straight up, 2D version of the original, with some minor crap added in to make it seem original.
