FINALLY! May 22nd!

However theres a bit of a catch on both systems which makes this announcement a lot less exciting than it should be.

Wonder Boy in Monster Land (Arcade)

Wonder Boy in Monster World (Mega Drive)

Monster World IV (Genesis/Mega Drive)

Super Hang-On (Arcade)

Revenge of Shinobi (Genesis/Mega Drive)

Alex Kidd in Miracle World (Master System)

Priced at $4.99 each... and thats it.

Xbox users however get this...

Monster World Collection (800 MSP)

Wonder Boy in Monster Land (Arcade)

Wonder Boy in Monster World (Genesis/Mega Drive)

Monster World IV (Genesis/Mega Drive)

(thats a single download)

Alex Kidd & Co. Collection (800 MSP)

Super Hang-On (Arcade)

The Revenge of Shinobi (Genesis/Mega Drive)

Alex Kidd in Miracle World (Master System)

(a single download)

Golden Axe Collection (800 MSP)

Golden Axe (Arcade)

Golden Axe 2 (Genesis/Mega Drive)

Golden Axe 3 (Genesis/Mega Drive)

(a single download)

Streets of Rage Collection (800 MSP)

Streets of Rage (Genesis/Mega Drive)

Streets of Rage 2 (Genesis/Mega Drive)

Streets of Rage 3 (Genesis/Mega Drive)

(a Single download).

Whats really crappy about this is that SOR1 & 2 are already on XBLA (at least I think they are) so Sega is asking you to pay more in order to get SOR 3 which is considered the weakest of the trilogy.

Furthermore, for PSN users, you don't get Golden Axe 3, Golden Axe 2, SOR 1 or SOR 3. Which is quite crappy in itself since Golden Axe 3 and SOR 3 are some or the harder to come by MegaDrive games (especially for people in the EU)

So over a year since they were originally announced, one network doesn't get all the games, the other is being made to pay more just to get a single game.

So, if you have to download them seperately on PSN, does it not get that cool arcade menu?

I guess not, I imagine that there will be a new menu as apposed to that blue vintage screen from Backbone, but I doubt the main menu will be like an arcade where you can select which game you want to play.

Kinda doesn't bother me as a PSN user, since I'll just pick up the games I want and not have a load of others. Plus they'll probably get discounted at some point in time (and probably free for you PS+ users), so no biggie.
