Anyone out there with shameful Sonic-related secrets?

I am playing Sonic '06 now for achievement hunting, and I gotta admit that I believe if the game was 100% glitch-free, it would have been superior to Sonic Unleashed.

I've never got past Zone 1 on Sonic 3.

I just..don't like sonic 3.

I thought people like me didn't exist. It's not a bad game. I just hate it for being popular just because it's apparently the last good Sonic game.

Okay here are a few of mine:

- I wrote a Sonic Adventure 3 fanfiction where Eggman managed to brainwash Gmel and have her kill Vanilla and take cream hostage. And then Metal Sonic brainwashes cream into thinking it's all Amy's fault and trains her to kill Amy.

- I also wrote a shitty Sonic Heroes 2 fan fic as well

- I've also trolled shippers and invoked shipping wars in the past

- I defended 06 when it first came out. Then I played it for myself and... Well you can pretty much guess what happens after that.

While people who call S3&K "The last good Sonic game" certainly do exist, i think there are actually a lot fewer of them than we fans sometimes tend to imagine. Most reviewers who criticise most of the "main series" games to come out since S3&K at least aknowledges the existence and quality of some of the handheld titles and, these days, will often also point out that the main series has recently pulled itself out of its slump with games like Colors and Generations.

I know I shouldn't post this but....I collect Shadow the Hedgehog merchandise.

I have the controller and the exclusive hat that you could only get from gamestop. Both are sealed. I also have an unopened Shadow figurine from SaSASR, along with the japanese game soundtrack from Shadow the Hedgehog (there are two, and I have the rarer one with all the sounds in the game).

Perhaps my rarest Shadow collectible is a one-of-a-kind drawing of Shadow from an artist at Archie Comics. I was lucky enough to meet the guy at a huge comic-con, and he drew it for me, autographed it, and laminated it. Awesome.

I have a ways to go, but my collection is still impressive.

Nothing much to say here, but... my dad and I always loving quoting some lines from the games when we're doing something. Like "Leave it to me!" by Tails in Heroes when we take over a project in the house and of course, "IT'S NO USE!!" by Silver in Sonic 06 when we're unable to do something. (and "TAAAKE THIS!!" as well.)

Not really a secret, but I've still to beat Sonic Adventure, Sonic 2006, Unleashed and Colours. The first three are as a result of frustation, Big's fishing levels, the Iblis boss battle at the end of Silver/Blaze's episode, and the tedious job of collecting enough sun or moon medals just to enter a level. Colours I think was my copy's screen contrast was too dark and I couldn't see much, plus I hate controlling Sonic with the Wii controls. So those games aren't complete. The shame.

  • I collect adult Sonic Doujinshi (Fan made manga/books often for fan service or porn)
  • I got into drawing because of a Sonic porn artist (ohgod)
  • i find it hard to draw an art that is 100% clean i.e. partial nudity, suggestive expressions or OTT detail in both clothing and body features
  • i'm mostly an adult artist because of this
  • i actually like Sonic Underground, i think its cool
  • Sonic Heroes is probably my favourite sonic title to date
  • i like some FanxCanon pairings...
  • i'm a HUUUUUGE SonicxBlaze shipper because of Rush...
  • i've caused many internet wars between fandoms (including sonic) for my own personal pleasure... (i'mabadperson)
  • i find it hard to be nice to any sonic fan... i don't even know why :/
  • i hate 99% of most fan characters, even the ones that look somewhat tolerable i don't know why, i just do.

ho thats my list, i have a ton more i just can't think what they are

Bit odd, but one day, I was taking math notes. I felt the need to quote Silver from 06. I don't know why, but it seemed funny at the time.

I quote stuff all the time when it's the right time. Even when it's not and I just feel like it actually. Right now I seem to be quoting, I think it was Cream, in Team Battle on Sonic Heroes, "How could you do such a thing?!"

Somehow I always have the opportunity to say that. O.O

I'm a 20 year old straight man yet I'm addicted to "My Destiny" by Donna De Lory. It is such a guilty pleasure! Damn you catchy Sonic music! Damn you!

the GBA port of sonic 1 was the first classic sonic game i ever played. and i fucking loved it. needless to say, however, i eventually gained access to the countless better versions of the game on different consoles, and soon realized that the GBA version sucks dick through a straw.

There was a time when I was young that I ran with my arms behind my back, like Sonic.

Admittedly, I did this also...

(Truth be told--every once in a while I catch myself doing it while running up stairs...)

Other shameful stories:

1. When I got my first cavity filled back in '92 or '93, my mom told me to think of something to keep my mind off of the drilling, etc. ...I pictured Sonic battling Robotnik.

2. I entered a Sonic-related Bubblicious contest when I was in middle school. The grand prize was a copy of a Sonic game (I forget which one) and Sonic the hedghog himself (ie: a guy in a Sonic costume) would show up and "party" with you and your classmates at school. I never expected to win anything--it was just for fun. A few months later though, I got a package and a letter stating I won third-prize, which was a few packages of the sour-apple Bubblicious gum. You'd think I'd be happy that I won something, but instead I was terrified how close I came to almost winning the grand prize. I was already unpopular as it was...I didn't need some guy in a Sonic costume coming to my middle school asking to party with me! :(

Geez, I did that too! ... Okay, I sometimes still do it. ^^ I run a lot and spreading your arms not exactly behind your back but to the sides is great to help you with stability when you're running slalom around something (trees...) and going really fast.

Was a time? I still do it when I really reach my top speed while running biggrin.png It's fun!

Other than looking at Sonic rule34... I really don't have anything else.

Except...

Using lines from the games in real life.

Doing some moves from the games in real life. (Like jumping from place to place to place in quick succession)

I use Quick Step in real life, it really helps in crowded places.

Shouting "Here we... GO!", "Let's do it to it!", "Come on, step it up!", "I am the ultimate gamer!", "Chaos... Control!", "Hmph" or "You don't even know who you're up against." to fire myself up.

I guess that's it?

I used to ride my bike like that and I thought I was so cool, with the wheels turning like his legs.

I was guilty of this during my whole time in elementary school. =P

There's no shame in running with your hands behind your back or to your sides.

People just need to understand that you just want to go fast? I mean who doesn't? I run all the time, I even break through walls sometimes with my speed.

Imagine if you suddenly took flight when you're running with your arms to your sides. That would be awesome.

I don't know, I just seen real athletes doing it..

If athletes does it...

If Sonic does it...

then, why the fuck not?

I created the plots to several made-up Sonic movies, games and TV shows, and even designed DVD, movie posters and game covers to go along. I even created a hypothetical episode list (complete with story arcs) for the TV show I came up with. For movies, I even went so in depth as to create scene selections for the theoretical DVDs. Yeah.
