Shameful secret related to Sonic? Er... well, the only time I have ever stolen something in my life (beyond pinching a cookie from the cupboard and other cheeky stuff on the same wavelength that doesn't technically count) was at primary school. I must've been ten years old, or maybe nine. Another child in another class was held back after assembly because he'd been playing with a little Sonic the Hedgehog action figure. Small thing, about an inch high, with a ring in each hand. The teacher took it from him and placed it atop the assembly hall piano, and obviously forgot to go back for it.

So later, post-assembly, I'm tasked with taking something from classroom to office, via the assembly hall. It was all open-plan, basically meaning I was walking along the back of the stage, on which sat the piano... and Sonic. Nobody around. No security camera or overlooking windows or classrooms (this was the 1990s, the last scraps of innocence were still in society) and I thought "Wow, nice Sonic figure." Before I knew it, the deed was done. Sonic got grabbed, I delivered whatever it was I was delivering to the office and made it through the rest of the day totally unscathed. I was the good boy in class, trusted and above board. I never heard anything else of the incident. Nobody reported it stolen. Nobody mentioned it ever again.

But could I play with "my" Sonic figure when I got home? Could I heck. Only found him nearly a decade later, languishing at the bottom of a drawer somewhere, and promptly threw him away in my pre-University clearout. That's shame for you.

I belive the Sonic Characters would canonically have Sex without a second thought due to them being Animals.

I didn't hate Sonic Underground, Sonic X or Jason Griffith's Sonic voice like most people.

...I recommended '06 to a friend. I had only done Wave Ocean so far at the time, so I didn't know quite how terrible the game was yet... but still, part of me thinks I would have recommended it anyway, since at the time I was one of those people who would defend anything with Sonic's name on it. Oh yeah, and said friend did buy the game.

Also on the subject of '06... I kind of like the storyline. For as flawed as it is, and for as little of a role Sonic actually plays in it, I still kinda like it.

That's me in the Sonic costume. To be fair, we won the contest that we made this for. To be even more honest...we were trying to win 2nd place! The 2nd place prize was a "huge collection of Sonic shwag," which I wanted far more than what we got for 1st prize - a copy of Sonic 1 for Master System with the manual autographed by Yuji Naka. A nice collector's item, sure...but I wanted the TOYS...

I definitely have a tendency to put my favourite characters through extreme trials and torture through various means, just to play with how they would respond, and how their friends and enemies would react, too. I also seem to like inflicting psychological pain on them as well as physical ^^; I'm a cruel mistress.

I believe that the wanting to wish suffering on a favourite fictional character in order to wish away the hurt is Woobiefication. A form of Catharsis or something. I personally have never felt like this toward any Sonic character. In fact, I actively avoid fics that involve really excessive hurt or suffering because it depresses me But I can understand it because apparently, it's quite a common phenomenon.

Physical pain...can't deal. Guess it's because I see so much of it in real life that I can never dissociate fiction from reality. Believe me, it isn't as dreamy to nurse someone as you think it is.

Edit: Actually, just to say, I think RL psychological torture is horrific, and I hate the overabundance of Stockholm syndrome fanfic.

I tend to do it for the second one of my reasons... less to do with comfort or healing, and more to do with psychological exploration and testing the limits of characters' physical and metal endurance XD; I don't seem to feel guilty even though I love 'em all to death. But I have seen a lot of fic/art where comfort/healing is a big part of it. Myself, I tend to mostly not go after characters who would be cute or pathetic in their suffering (i.e. the Woobie), although sometimes they can be targeted... >_> But yeah, with me it's less hurt/comfort and more how-far-can-I push-this-character, mwahahaha >_>

Sorries ;-; I just wasn't sure at the time, but when the time came, it was one of the best things I did lol (yay for more space!) It's just hard to decide when to part with things sometimes though, such as I've had a couple of offers on my Sonic neon sign for nearly £300 and I'm like oh yeah, I'll sell it for that!! But when it really comes to it, I can't >.<

Yes, yes I have! =D I haven't had a chance to go on 'em yet though, but I did stand and watch someone play on them : ) They're really awesome. The Olympia arcade (I think that's what it's called) has the Sonic air-hockey table! and a couple of Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing arcade games. Seriously, I think it's almost turning into a SEGAWORLD the way it's going! lol (they have Sonic plushies in the grabber machines, to boot)

I have quite a few shameful Sonic secrets myself.

1.) When I was really little like 5 years old I used to cry if I missed even one episode of AOSTH or SatAM.

2.) When I was little and Sonic 2 was a new game I used to carry the box around with me everywhere because of the boxart picture of Sonic and Tails and used to kiss and hug Sonic's picture. My mom had to chase me around the room and pry the box out of my hands because I was like obsessively in love with Sonic. My mom even had to hide the Sonic 2 box from me. XD

3.) My obsession and love for him didn't end there, my mom bought me the really rare Sonic 2 Sonic the hedgehog Plushie and I took that thing EVERYWHERE I went and I used to kiss him and pretend he was my boyfriend and wanted to marry him. XD Its embarrassing just typing this but I was a little kid come on! >.<

4.) I'm a huge Sonic and Amy fan and I'm just waiting for that moment it becomes official in the games. I love them together and think they are perfect for each other and simply adored them in Sonic X. Hell I was a SonAmy fan all the way back to the Sonic CD days. When I first played Sonic CD when I was around 6-7 years old I had no idea who Amy was. I just saw this cute pink hedgehog glomping and hugging Sonic with hearts and found her to be absolutely adorable. I would purposely just have Sonic stand and run around and watch Amy hug him and follow him because I thought they were so cute.

5.) I actually really love Sonic X in Japanese only. I thought it was a good show despite all the humans and Chris taking the spotlight for the majority of the time. Chris wasn't so bad in Japanese than he was in the English Dub. I even cried at the parts where *Spoiler Alert* Molly and Cosmo died in Season 3. And in the first Season when Sonic went Super for the first time with Kotoba Ni playing in the background it was a pretty sad and touching scene. And of course I absorbed all the SonAmy scenes up like a sponge. Absolutely love Episode 52 it was the sweetest thing I've ever seen in the Sonic Franchise. I also like the concept of a Dark Sonic from Season 3. The show had a lot of good concepts going on, its main fault was executing them horribly.

6.) I don't care what anyone says I really like Sonic Heroes and Shadow the Hedgehog. I thought they were really fun games even if the story was a little lame or lack there of. I loved the little extra information about the Ark and Shadow in Shadow's game and I enjoyed the gameplay and a lot of the music in the levels. Sonic Heroes had a lot of fun gameplay especially as Team Sonic and Team Dark. I played it so much that I'm only a few A Ranks away from unlocking the Super Hard Difficulty.

7.) I listen to Sonic music more than anything else. I know all Sonic Songs that have lyrics by heart even the insanely Engrish Sonic CD Albums that came out in Japan and the Japanese Sonic songs especially Sonic X's. If it's not the official Sonic music its really well made fan remixes of the songs. I absolutely love the music in Sonic whether its Retro, New Gen or from cartoons. I listen to it more than anything else and my ipod mostly consists of Sonic related music. While people are listening to rap or other types of music I'd rather listen to game music and find it vastly more pleasurable and memorable.

8.) I've been known to sing Sonic songs in my car while driving and had many times where people will look at me and stare at red lights. I have a little car so if the music is even slightly loud everyone can hear it even with my windows up. >.<

9.) Crush 40 is one of my absolute favorite bands and I even have their early album when they went by a different name before Sonic Adventure 1.

10.) Even now I have the biggest crush on Sonic. I think he's really hot, sexy and suave. I don't blame Amy for wanting to be all over him, if I was her I'd be like that too. I love some of the facial expressions he makes in Sonic X especially the boat Episode where he tricks Amy by fake flirting with her, omg his face expressions at that part made me melt and feel all mushy inside. He's so damn hot and sexy! XD

11.) I have several Sonic X T-Shirts of Sonic and I wear them more than anything else in my closet. I love my Sonic shirts and wear them all the time even if people stare at me.

12.) I still have my Sonic 2 Piggy Bank, Sonic Action Figures and Sonic Plushies in my room. I have a giant life sized Shadow Plushie and a small sized Sonic Plushie who proudly sit in my room by my bed and on my dresser. I still sleep with and hug my Sonic Plushie till this day. XD Sometimes jokingly I'll ask my Sonic Plushie questions when I'm just hanging out in my room too.

13.) When Sonic Adventure 2 first came out and I was a young Pre Teen I had a huge massive crush on Shadow for a long time. I still loved Sonic but he had competition because Shadow was super sexy too. XD In the end Sonic is the only one who can have my heart though.

14.) Amy is my favorite female Sonic character along with Blaze.
