When the boost version of Green Hill is playing you get to see some Spindash drift snaking! Also I'm going to screencap and post each potential alternate path I see for modern Sonic.

It was sooo hard trying to pay attention to that video. Jun was just ripping those riffs like crazy. But I did see the SDD. Looks pretty slick. And when you said snaking....I was thinking of Unleashed HD style snaking.

Did anyone else notice that in that version shown, Red rings and omochao were like everywhere?

Its the small things you know...

And being that report wise that SDDing actually makes Sonic go faster than Sonic's top speed boosting is an interesting way to incorporate spin-dashing to Modern Sonic...very nice touch indeed...

So pretty much while taking corners Sonic revs up and launches himself at higher speeds SDDing until you roll out of it? That's sounds very interesting....

I can't wait to abuse this XD

Abuse for the win?! xD

This is gonna make a nice addition to the speedruns. If you can retain ball mode out of corners then i can see full speedruns while in ball form.

Can you imagine the amount of speedruns the demo will have whenever it is released?

From what I've heard, it's just a drift with the spinball look. It appeared in the Gamespot demo at the beginning of GHZ modern but was never seen again because these players don't understand what drift is.

I knew that's what he meant. Basically, these things aren't set in stone. Last year Iizuka was on about how we would never see Classic Sonic again. And now... yeah. :)

Strange...the graphics in those screens look very much improved....

Hardly. That's what all the screenshots look like. Decentish graphics, crappy visuals.

Yeah i imagine tons of videos on youtube. Tons of walkthroughs and tons of hands-on SG and reviews of the demo etc. etc.

When the demo come, i'm going to post a 1st run playthrough, a walkthrough to find paths and shortcuts and of course speedruns for Classic & Modern Sonic. :)

Once again, I think we need to see 3DS shots from other stages, both stages look so empty because they're trying to be close to the original, let's see if we can get something like Final Rush next.

Casino Night. It's in and will go a long way to determining whether or not the rest fo the game is as bland as GHZ.

True, should be pretty headache inducing if done right.

Similar to how City Escape quelled many of the issues (Corridors) shown in GHZ. It would be funny if another stage came along and saved the day for the 3DS version as well.

:P

It does make you wonder though. All of of the levels going to be highways in the sky?

Yeah, I guess it depends on how accurate they stay to the original designs.

That's the thing though. GHZ isn't so terrible because it's true to the original design, it's terrible cause it's like someone just hit the extrude button.

I disagree, it tries so hard to be like the original that it just turns out bland and dull. Hell, they even kept most of the flowers in the same spot. Now it's true that they did make it look like the original by simply extruding, but what if they had kept it 2D and just redrawn the graphics, would it still be terrible or simply a high-res' remake then?

I'm guessing they thought that since it's the first stage they would keep it as it always was, and therefore simply re-did it in 3D and kept the level geometry since normally people like that. :P

Wait a sec, is that Omochao in those videos?! Unless I've missed something, I thought we were under the impression that he was only a City Escape cameo? Those videos indicate that he's our helper throughout all the stages. AWESOME.

Maybe you can decide on one "helper" somehow, like from Chip, Tails, Tikal, Omochao, etc. etc.

That would be awesome! Doubtful, but amazing,

I honestly hope they don't choose Chemical Plant for the 3DS version, it would benefit so much from the HD visuals rather than Dimps' bland attempt.
