I have some questions to ask you, if you're too lazy to read Dusk Golem's post (not ninja'd, HA).

Did you have a Pokemon with a Special stat of 21?

Did you skip the Jr. Trainer and the Cerulean Gym Male Swimmer?

Did you fly/teleport to Cerulean as soon as that un-battled trainer saw you?

Did you battle the Slowpoke-owning Youngster after you walked along the wall?

Did you press B after arriving at Route 8 at Lavender Town?

If these questions sound unfamiliar, you forgot the one urban legend that had actually worked for almost every Pokemon player as soon as the year 2003 hit!
