Looking at the price, that does indeed sound very much like it!

HMV Japan sometimes do the Sonic OST's too, so I might look for that CD namein a few more places before I pre-order. But that does indeed look and sound very much like it.

Just had a look at the dreams come true website...

Cool! I'll definitely keep an eye out for it while I'm here in Japan, although Japan is notorious for not really stocking anything Sonic, I mean I was here just after Sonic Colours came out and couldn't find the OST anywhere even with my Japanese friend calling just about every CD store in the area. I only just managed to pick it up recently because it was at SEGA Joypolis for sale, and I still haven't found the Sonic Free Riders OST anywhere either!

Ooh, how did I miss this?

While I think Sonic 2's music is just fine and dandy, I absolutely love Sonic 1's music. It's definitely my favorite soundtrack out of the original Genesis games. What a nice anniversary gift for us.

Awesome! Plus the 06' remixes of Sweet Sweet Sweet. Not that they were great and all but they are one Sonic song I am missing from my library of songs.

Will definitely be keeping my eye out for a copy or two of this. Just wish we could see the album art now!

I'm just going to repeat myself here, but please don't link to music rips of the OST. YouTube is okay since it's a sampling kind of thing.

Also oh my god this is amazing stuff. I'm surprised to say this but Nakamura's demo of Green Hill is probably my favorite version of the song, ever. The S1 Special Stage music is also flat-out gorgeous. Someone on Retro said it was Klonoa-esque and I agree with that assessment. I'll post the rest of my thoughts later since I just skimmed the songs, I really want to listen to the whole thing in one go.

I wish the theme of Sonic the Hedgehog demo was full-length but just hearing that song always brings a dumb smile to my face anyway.

That said, I'm listening to the songs through Soniman's links. Really gorgeous, especially Green Hill's take. Of course, I haven't listened to the Sonic 2 compilation yet. That'll come when Soniman uploads it.

Been listening to this for a little while now, I'm really loving the demo tracks. Haven't heard them all yet but so far I'd say my favorites are Green Hill Zone, Star Light Zone, Scrap Brain Zone, S1 Speical Stage, Oil Ocean Zone, "Unused Song" (Hidden Palace Zone), and "Theme of Sonic the Hedgehog".
