For those who are dissapointed in the stages, just think of the team's design philosiphy. To add things fresh and new and surprise players.

Im beginning to warm up to the level list but I shall be forever disappointed at the lack of diversity, at least until DLC comes out

As I said maybe there gonna be real clever with the extra-acts.

Like maybe a foresty area resembling Green Forest's Layout with the City Escape Trees for M. Sonic through.

Or with Sky Sanctury, piece of flying Lands that have slight water-ish Hydrocity Assets, same with Ice Cap?

Or an extra-hard act for C.Sonic in Green Hill, that has the Layout of Scrap Brain.

Or an underwater extra-act in Seaside Hill that has the same Layout of Labyrinth/Tidal Tempest Zone?

I mean you can overall satisfied yourself, but let's not deny that the list is just bollocks from the POV that it doesn't really mirror the fans favourites. I don't have prove but no Ice Cap is for me personally a solid indication.

What if "hold hands" means like in the sonic heroes intro where sonic grabs tails and knuckles hands and pretty much boosts.

So the overall majority of the fanbase doesn't favor Green Hill, Chemical Plant, Speed Highway, City Escape, Seaside Hill, Crisis City and Planet Wisp as their favorite levels of their respective games?

I got another one.

Have maybe a 3-Lap Drift Act in Seaside Hill in the seas, but have the Metal Harbor Roads. Woudn't take much effort at all,but still be a nice reference.

So your saying Chemical Plant isn't the most popular stage from Sonic 2? And Speed Highway isn't the most popular stage from SA1? And City Escape isn't the most popular stage from SA2? And Seaside Hill isn't the most popular stage from Heroes? And Crisis City isn't one of the most popular stages from 06? And Planet Wisp isn't the most memorable stage from Colors?

Maybe some kind of riders based mini race in City escape, maybe have a quick race with the rogues on their boards while you all ride down the streets

I would've figured that, inside the fanbase, Seaside Hill, Crisis City, and maybe Planet Wisp were arguably not so iconic in their respective games that they would be no-contest entries.

Gonna have to side with Black Spy on this one.

Maybe change "popular/memorable" to "popular/memorable/most showcased."

Fuck I'd be happy if they just gave us an act focused entirely around streetboarding.

absolutely stunned for the news we have here...I don't know where to start. I am thrilled about co-op and boss battles, and I hope for more playable chars as different skins. SHIELDS AND POWER UPS ARE AWESOME

Also I hope for:

- some music remix from every sonic game like Windy Valley, Emerald Coast, Twinkle Park, Kingdom Valley, Casino levels etc...

- some DLC like

Ice Cap, enhanced with water portions and some cave portions like Holoska Wii

Twinkle Park with some Hang Castle inspiration

Bingo Highway

Mazuri

"Not in a top 9," he says. Look. You aren't that important. Your preferences can't possibly account for millions of people. Sometimes, just sometimes, you can't get your way. None of those stages were in my favorites in any of those games, but they weren't horrible.

Wasn't Ice Cap in Sonic Adventure as well and in Sonic Advance?

...this is a brilliant idea.

Sonic Adventure, yes. Sonic Advance, not really. It was called Ice Mountain, but it may as well have been Ice Cap because of the level layout. You could have called it Ice Cap and would not have been able to tell the difference.

How could Sega possibly be so stupid as to have all of this in the demo? They should know that Sonic fans would find it all.

Maybe they planned for us to find it.

Look out for false info. The "Vs. Cream" stuff reeks of it.

Or maybe have that Water-running part from KV as a piece of land in Sky Sanctuary.

Anyway, since Perfect Chaos and Crysis City are both in the game, will there be some kind of connection?

Chemical Plant, most likely though I believe that casino night comes very close

Speed Highway, not sure, I though that sky Deck was also a pretty big level for the fans

City Escape, yes, though the two ARK levels were pretty popular as well

Seaside Hill, I don't think so because Egg fleet seemed like a pretty popular level as well

Crisis City, definitely

Planet Wisp, not really, Aquarium Park and Starlight carnival seem a bit more memorable

I remember a poll on the old SSMB before the reboot where we had a competition between SA1 levels and another in SA2. Speed Highway won for SA1, but Final Rush won for SA2(because I ran an unmerciful campaign for it that could rival OBAMANIA). City Escape was in the top 3 with Green Forest, however.

More than likely they plan all of their leaks to see how fans will react, usually it allows them to make what they already have even better thanks to fan feedback.

There's a VS against everyone, even Tails, though it may have been a typo for her to do it twice

Hmm. Chemical plant is a good pick I can agree on that. You know tbh my biggest issue I think is that there are mainly modern sonic stages and just 3 classic and the GREAT lack of variety. I know that modern sonic games have been existing much longer and had more canon games, but it's just a shame. (I consider the dreamcast era as modern as well.)

Also i'd like to note that they could've at least taken variety in acount. I remember reading such a thing in interviews. Guess it was really BS.

I think for me personally some more classic spice would've made me care less. An Ice cap zone, where the fff is it? What I don't get is why they went with just 9. Sonic games really need to become larger than this.

Also my list just as indication how it couldve been and where I stand also taking variety into consideration as well

Sonic 1 green hill

sonic 2 chemical plant

sonic 3 ice cap

sonic &k sky sanctuary (they shoulve counted these seperatly, i'd go with ice cap>sky sanctuary though)

sonic adventure - twinkle park

sonic adventure 2 - city escape

sonic heroes - hang castle

sonic 06 - kingdom valley

sonic unleashed - jungle joyride

sonic colors - planet wisp(starlight carnaval coming close. Would be awesome to see that in HD.)
