Apparently there are some more assets for Chemical Plant and Speed Highway in the demo. They're available on the debug level select, but hang up the console.

I originally vouched for Stardust Speedway, but with Speed Highway in the game, we already have a city level at night. So I think Collision Chaos would be the second best, if not the best choice.

All I'd need to be happy would be Ocean Palace taking the place of Seaside Hill. The different music, the greater focus on the water and ruins, and larger scope and scale, and less Green Hill-esque elements make it more unique to me. That, and the naming, of course. This is, seriously, the ONLY thing that I don't like that's been leaked so far. Seriously. That's it.

Realise what you are saying. You are willing to miss out on the opportunity to experience STARDUST MOTHERF*CKING SPEEDWAY IN GLORIOUS HD, for Collision Chaos?

Is there a way to e-mail SEGA this list? Cause this list is epic!

If they could release all those extra levels in one big DLC pack, that'd be the greatest fanservice to Sonic fans ever. I don't care if they're only 2 acts each for just Classic and Modern, just the opportunity to see them and be able to play through them in this game is one I'd..... do lotsa things for.

Um, that's exactly what Ocean Palace is. There's even a drowning tune in the game files, so there's more than likely gonna be more water in the level.

Speaking of, stop calling it Seaside Hill people, it's Ocean Palace.

THIS is Seaside Hill, This is Ocean Palace.

EDIT:

Also I'd like to point out that Casino Night is already a pinball game in the HD version and an exclusive stage to the 3DS version

Yeah, but it's only a minigame. A full fledged stage wouldn't hurt at all.

I can agree with this. If each game got 2 levels to represent would be a lot better, as most of those games usually only have 2 fan favs.

Think about it.

Sonic 1: Green Hill, Starlight

Sonic 2: Chemical Plant, Casino Night

Sonic 3: Ice Cap, Sky Sanctuary

Sonic Adventure: Speed Highway, Twinkle Park

Sonic Adventure 2: City Escape, Final Rush

Sonic Heroes: Ocean Palace, Egg Fleet

Sonic 06: Kingdom Valley, Crisis City

Sonic Unleashed: Rooftop Run, Anything else

Sonic Colors: Planet Wisp, Starlight Carnival

It's entirely possible that the game could turn out like that with added DLC, I mean 3 DLC packs with 3 stages each doesn't seem too farfetched

Also I'd like to point out that Casino Night is already a pinball game in the HD version and an exclusive stage to the 3DS version

While I agree with you 1000%, the leak refers to it numerous times as Seaside Hill and not Ocean Palace. It's a simple fix though; all SEGA needs is Ocean Palace music and the new name on it and we're golden.

But does it really matter?

I just thought of something, since we're fighting Perfect Chaos, does that mean Super is going to be available earlier?

If perfect chaos is played by both classic and modern

And means super sonic will be in a boss battle in the middle of the game

Could this mean that Super Sonic is a boss-only thing for this game?

It's funny how people are talking about the leaked information more then the actual demo. Sega messed up big time.

Also yes to the Werehog! They really are trying to make each stage feel like the game it represents which should add variety. :)

Was waiting for a post like this, lest I have to create it myself. It was almost amusing watching everyone flip out over Werehog. Jeez, it's not that big of a deal. He's probably not even playable. And if he is, it'll be for, like, one mission. Out of what, 90? I'm just going to put it bluntly: get over yourselves. :P

Okay. Octarine's belated thoughts, now that things have cooled down enough that people are maybe actually listening to each other and stuff:

The stage list is a bit of a bummer, but it's alright. I'm very happy to see Chemical Plant, Crisis City (I know, I know) and Planet Wisp, at least, and while Sky Sanctuary doesn't hold a candle to Lava Reef for me, it's still a very cool stage. Seaside Hill's a pretty baffling choice, but it seems to be borrowing a lot more from Ocean Palace's aesthetics than the actual Seaside Hill's and the potential for underwater and water-running segments makes it at least a passable choice. Speed Highway, though. Why would you ever pick Speed Highway over Lost World or Twinkle Park, you crazy stupid morons? Even in a game that wasn't loaded with city stages it wouldn't make sense; it's the most generic city stage there is. I mean, it's really just Crisis City but not on fire. Still, I'm not really too disappointed. I'm not a huge fan of Green Hill or City Escape, frankly, and Generations has done an amazing job with both of those. I'd have preferred to at least see an ice level, but I'm confident that I'll be at least satisfied with what we've got.

The myriad of powerups and potential for so many playable-ish characters, though? That's so much more than I was daring to hope for. Since we know about all of the stages now, that's really the aspect of the game I'm most eager to hear about. No matter how it works, though, I'm still really goddamn happy just to be able to say that Amy, Vector, Rouge and Espio are in levels again, and in a high-profile main-series game no less. Hopefully this means that we'll be seeing more from them in the future. Oh, and please let there be Classic Amy and Classic-Amy-related hijinx. The bosses seem pretty cool, too; there aren't that many Eggman machines, but I like that there's a hedgehog duel for every era. I hope those are a little better than their original versions, though; character vs. character fights have never been particularly impressive in this series, and it'd be another great achievement for Generations to finally be the game that gets them right.

Now, I don't suppose there's any chance left that City Escape's music was among the files in the demo? There are so many terrible things I'd be willing to do to hear the new versions of Escape from the City and make this day complete.

So. The inevitable question.

Which massive leak do you guys think was worse? This, or Sonic 4's?

If I remember correctly, Sonic 4's was PartnerNet's fault, or something like that, and this one is Sega's alone, though I think 4 had everything leaked.
