Well I sure as hell couldn't possibly know what these are for. They're definitely menu icons, but what exact purpose they serve is anyone's................................................. anyone's....................... hey........ what..... what is that.... at the very bottom left........ is that......... an Omochao........... Credit Card?

Correction: Correction: Generations is supposed to be celebrating 20 years of the entire game franchise and subsequently all of the traditions and quirks therein. You know what one huge tradition is? Having levels of multiple tropes in the same game. xP

How do we know ocean palace is going to give us some water based platforming. Like aquatic Ruin

How do we know CRISIS CITY isn't going to be smoldering with lava and us jumping across pits trying to avid the flames that come at us? Like Lava Reef

WE DON'T KNOW YET! Hell most the tropes have the potential to be covered in the levels we have. Your imaginative? I mean come one...

I not mad about saying what level you wanted in...I made at you not seeing the potential of level tropes in the levels we have. These levels may be City like, but there settings are nothing alike!

While I understand you're all very excited (and/or disappointed) in the leaks (I am too as a result of the classic Green Hill Zone theme remix), please try to keep meme posting and image only posts to a minimum. :)

..... Both are still clearly city tropes. I don't understand why this needs to be argued, (aside from the fact that you're apparently drinking. Please stop that. =P)

And Ocean Palace and Green Hill aren't tropical levels either? Oookaaaaay then.

And the Surrealism argument is being left dormant for when I need it to explain the actual art style of the games in a snarky way to school classic fans who misuse the term. Again, it has absolutely nothing to do with the point I'm trying to make. X.x

Ocean Palace is to Sonic Heroes as Aquatic Ruin is to Sonic 2. (Even more so in Generations as there most likely will be water based platforming.)

And City Escape and Crisis city are like polar opposites from eachother in potential Tropes. They might be like eachother, but its about the execution of level design that makes their trope different. Which has always been relevant in Sonic Games.

Let me brake it down for you to understand where I come from...

Again...sonic 2! FAVORITE game.

Chemical Plant/Metropolis Zone/Oil Ocean that's 3 industrial levels (City Levels)

Emerald Hill Zone/Hill Top Zone/ Mystic Cave Zone <<<(Can be considered the odd ball like Planet Wisp)

Aquatic Ruin (Ocean Place)

Casino Night...(Debatable...we don't know yet)

Sonic 2 has 2 skyzones that were pretty much based on each other (Sanctuary)

You see what I mean? Some of these levels had similar core ideals , but their tropes were Entirely different in each stage. This is what we are most likely getting with Generations...they got it covered.

I didn't say Ocean Palace was the same as Green Hill. I said both levels belong to the same "tropical" trope. Same with Crisis City and City Escape. I mean, the both have the word "city" in their name. This is yet another point I can't believe I'm arguing, and it is still not solving the issue of Hydrocity's absence. =/

Point: Trope wise its fine...just a few buildings being in the background wasn't a problem in the Classics...it shouldn't be now.

Looking at that enemy list, the confirmed characters, and the list of levels and bosses....

It seems that the Jazzwares toys WERE to be trusted after all!

but wait doesn't hydrocity have the word city in it???

You know, thinking about it... Some of these stages and what's memorable about them could make some freaking awesome twists on stages.

Imagine Crisis City with Iblis roaming about and crashing and destroying things and getting in your way through the stage?

Imagine Seaside Hill with giant rolling boulders of evil and riding turtles across the ocean in new extreme ways?

Imagine Sky Sanctuary with a crazed Mecha Sonic trying to stop you at every turn with a barrage of traps and machines like some crazy stalker killer?

Imagine Chemical Plant with raising water levels and tons of harmful chemicals spewing out of pipes in every direction at high speeds?

Imagine Speed Highway being chased by a police force of robot monkeys as they barrage down a building after you, across twisted roads, and taking rides on helicopters?

Just imagine it all.

PLEASE, SEGA, use ANY (except Sasasr model) other version of the Tornado plane. The Unleashed version sucks SO hard! It's really ugly!

Are you actually saying Ocean Palace does not exist within a tropical climate? And that Crisis City isn't a city level now just because it's fiery? Really? =|

And the deepest part of the backgrounds in the classics were primarily decorative. Of course they didn't define the tropes of the levels like the actual foreground and midground elements did, which are the grounds I'm using to define the modern levels as well. I mean seriously, I'm confused at you saying "just a few buildings in the background." Crisis City doesn't just have a few buildings in the background. You go in, on, and around the buildings. Same with the tropical climate in Ocean Palace.

Ugh, I can't talk about this tangent anymore. We're derailing, going in circles, aggravating me, and ignoring the critical points of my opposition all at the same time. Besides, since you suggested you should call it a night anyways, I'll gladly help you out with that.

@ i don't like pie: Hydrocity's name is not at all in actual reference to a modern city with skyscrapers. It's clearly a water/ruins level. Good on you for making such a fucking smart alec remark, though.

I'm shocked all this info came from a DEMO!!!!!! That JUST came out... like not even 24 hours ago. SERIOUSLY? I love this fanbase, I'm never bored. I just wanna play the game now. Heres hoping for an epic storyline.

Hmm. I find it strange that nothing of Robotnik was leaked yet - classic models, modern.

Since the build was from the E3 version, I wonder how much new stuff they will put in from now until the release?

So, uh... how about those leaks? Has anyone posted this yet?

I guess these have something to do with the missions.
