Seaside Hill / Ocean Palace is probably the most well known and popular stage in Sonic Heroes. I'd argue because that was one of very few legitimately fun or memorable segments of the game (outside of Hang Castle / Mystic Mansion which was my absolute favorite), but I digress.

I understand its inclusion over something like Hang Castle / Mystic Mansion or most stages because the others just aren't that popular.

Oh I know, I know.

The only reason why we have Chemical Plant and not Emerald Hill is because Emerald Hill is just Green Hill with everything interesting stripped out of it.

Maybe because when Sega was looking at fan reception of Sonic 3 and Knuckles levels all these hundreds of Sky Sanctuary haters weren't around to say it was a bad stage?

As for Speed Highway, maybe they thought two tropical themed stages was too much and thus ruled out Emerald Coast? Windy Valley too similar to their ideas for Sky Sanctuary? Casino Night already chosen over Casinopolis? I am honestly stumped..

Fixed.

I mean, Planet Wisp. It had sections on 3D and 2D. There's so much fun in that, improve the 2D parts in Act 1 and you have yourself a bigger winner then it already is.

Plus Sky Sanctuary sucked big balls. That music was AWFUL

Seaside Hill, aw yeah man? Even tho we have Green Hill, I would be glad to have another green stage but with aquatic parts. That's why I love Sonic games, their varied!

Speed Highway, night version, high speed & super dynamic version of City Escape. Catch my drift?

Heck, I would have liked to have a Terminal Velocity level. It's fucking awesome like every other stages of Sonic games.

Seaside Hill, what the fuck man? We already have Green Hill, I don't want another lush green stage. That's why it's Green Hill.

Speed Highway, dark version of City Escape. Point moot.

Ice Cap would have been the logical choice because it could have literally been Cool Edge Act 6. They could have blatantly ripped the Unleashed's assets and then slapped "ICE CAP" on the front and everyone would have been happy.

Honestly there's far more to Ice Cap than just the conceived notion of Cool Edge, which is a comparison I sort of don't get. Cool Edge was a huge glacier in the middle of the arctic sea. While Ice Cap Act 2 of Sonic 3 is very Cool Edge, the first act is purely snowbound mountains. Sonic Adventure seems to give off the impression that it's mainly that too.

What's even more is that most of Ice Cap took place mostly within the actual mountain where you'd only see the distance through cracks while you ran through the crystal caves. I think this the main reason I'd have preferred Ice Cap over Cool Edge, because the level was beautiful and I could only imagine how wide stretched and shimmering that would have been if re-imagined in HD. Granted, Werehog segments also had some elements in Cool Edge that took place inside the glaciers but they weren't nearly as cool or exciting as Ice Cap in my opinion.

Since Planet wisp in in generations I hope we at least see the other wisps in effect, I mean Planet wisp(including the ds version because of drill.) was the only level besides Sweet Mountain to use all the wisps. It seems a little disappointing to see two only in effect... :( On the other hand apparently this isn't all the data for the game so maybe more power ups besides the ones leaked will be revealed! :) Or Aquarium park or sweet Mtn. dlc.(Just gotta see Drill in 3d along with frenzy in full 2d! :D )

Well, remember, those were only icons for the item boxes, Modern Sonic could get his own wisp powers :P My guess for him is the laser and cube wisps, but that's just me.

Oh god I personally hope not those two :o . Cube was utterly pointless in levels imo and I still cant imagine laser without a wii controller.(although playstation move... :huh: )

Yes I know those are wisps already said to be in the game but I'm just saying other wisps I hope to see. As dlc or more power ups to be confirmed.

There's also a small chance that your favorite wisp will be recycled remanifest itself as one of the characters. Knux could end up digging as fast as Drill, and there's a good shot that if he appears in Classic, he'll be able to climb like in S3+K, which is KINDA like spike, if you try using your imagination. REAL HARD LIKE.

EDIT: If the turtle's and their cannons are back, you may be able to control them ike the Cyan wisp. If you recoche like it did, i'd be happy with canons in every new sonic game.

Modern and Classic Sonic have been confirmed to be the only playable characters.

Knuckles won't be playable.

It ties into the tutorial graphics and Mission list we saw. Some of the missions were labeled with the word 'Co-Op' and mentioned those characters.

The tutorial graphics mentioned partner attacks, customizing skills, holding hands, and most importantly.. changing characters.

It's possible, and really the best way to do multiple characters for now, while people hate the idea.

But Modern and Classic are the only playable dudes.

After Act 3 of Planet Wisp, we all felt sick of using the Cube Wisp, no matter how awesome the music may sound.

You're not the only one who does. I love the Cube Wisp a ton myself. My lone drawback there is that the wisp is occasionally glitchy: Sometimes when I boost with it, Sonic freezes, and I'm forced to restart the stage.

How can you even boost with it activated? It uses up the bar. Isn't it... impossible?
