The more I look at the Time Eater artwork, the more I'm starting to see faint outlines and brows forming Eggman's head. That thing resembling a stache doesn't help either.

I hope that fog is mostly there to mask an interior. Or that it's something related to Eggman and Nega Wisps.

Biolizard would be the obvious choice for the Dreamcast era.

Biolizard/Metal Overlord and either one of the Rush series final boss/Egg Nega Wisp

Maybe it would be Rush stages and then Egg Nega Wisp as the Modern era boss.

Though with Silver's inclusion, we might see a Sonic '06 stage.

The new Perfect Chaos footage makes me wonder how Egg Dragoon will play out. Will it be half stage/half boss like PC, so we can run through Eggmanland?

We've seen it in Shadow and Perfect Chaos already. You know, if this is Sonic Team's way of making chase battles more complicated...I approve.

Overall, I thought the bosses in the game were pretty fun. ...Well, except for the final boss. It was pretty horrendous in execution. The graphics were overwhelming, the goal was vague, and I couldn't even figure out what I was supposed to do!

And those voice clips, ugh...

Yeah the final boss kinda sucked. There hasn't been a good Super Sonic fight since Adventure 2 IMO. Unless we count the Wii version of Unleashed since that fight was pretty cool (nothing amazing though) and MUCH better then the HD versions Super battle. Even the music was lame for the Gen's final battle. =/

I was kind just hoping for a straight rip off of Doomsday Zone in glorious HD. Might not have been original but it would have been much better then what we got.

Actually Time Eater is less of a pain to me, since I've learned how to keep my fucking rings well, and boost to win and strike quick.

It still shouldn't be so technically flawed though.

The 3DS version looks like poo. Bosses included. Whatever looks fun to play is completely unoriginal, and whatever is original doesn't look even remotely fun to play.

I honestly had no idea how I beat Time Eater nor did I know how I didn't die from lack of rings. All I know is that I beat him on hard, and got my avatar prize. Worst. Final Boss. In a Sonic Game. Ever.

You know I actually enjoy fighting the time eater a lot more when I change the music to either his world or live and learn. I think it's mostly the boss theme is what made me hate him so much.

Copy and paste from another thread. I'll give my impressions on the other bosses later.

Death Egg Robo

I absolutely love everything about this boss. From his design to his battle and even his music. The boss fight, even though people thought it was too easy(which I disagree with), was great IMO. It evolved from a simple 'hit his tush' to a more puzzle based fight which I appreciated. I love the design because even though it's a tad different compared to the S2 one *coughfatterandbulkier* it still looks quite threatening and is quite simple compared too...

The Egg Dragoon

Regarding the design it's a really stark contrast with the DERO, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. First of all it's definitely more complex and if I may, slightly animalistic. As I said earlier it is very different compared to the aforementioned boss and that's why I love it. It kind of represents Eggman's/Robotnik's (for you classic fans biggrin.png) evolution in his machines from simple and egotistical to very complex and threatening. The boss fight, however has a few problems mainly control issues. or example when jump from rail to rail sometimes Sonic's automatic acceleration makes me miss it. Another problem is that when it switches to 2d for some reason Sonic slows down.

But enough tearing that battle apart. I still liked it because it was very difficult on both modes and that the instances when you hit him are not very obvious.

Actually when I think about it. It does Fit Silver to race Sonic in Tropical Resort. I mean it kinda looks like Futuristic city and if I had to describe Silver's future I would use this as an example.

I was actually thinking earlier that it's a shame they didn't just make a new tileset for the bosses. No modelling - just like those silly Sonic Adventure hacks. Rexture Casino Night to look a bit more like Stardust Speedway, Radical Highway could be retextured to look like the ARK in space, and Tropical Resort... well a bit trickier but amazing what a red skybox and rusty colour scheme might do.
