Here are my two Unleashed speedruns. I'm pleased with both but I could shave at least 15 seconds off both, because I made a few mistakes. Nonetheless, enjoy.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z0KqEXH55-Y - Windmill Isle (Day) - 1:56.35

- Skyscraper Scamper (Day) - 1:56.65

Quick edit: How do you embed a video into a post? Or am I not a full user yet or something (like on the SEGA Forums)?

So last night I was playing 06 and beat Crisis City as Sonic without dying or taking a single hit with over 600 rings, which boosted my bonus up to like 108000 points. It's absurd how much ring score counts in this game.

And End of the World with 77000 or something like that, again with a decent amount of rings.

I also got up to like 80 something thousand in Sonic's White Acropolis just by dicking around, killing everything, and by deliberately getting caught in the searchlights and going around the entire open ended area at the end. I was super bored tongue.png in a similar fashion it's also very easy to do this in Rouge's Tropical Jungle, as even taking 4 minutes still gives you a time bonus of like 30000, and you can get easily that much in enemy score too. I wasn't going for perfect every single ring and not taking any hits though in either case, so higher is doable easily.

And a time of 1:44 in Crisis City Act 2 in Generations from several months ago, I've not been able to best it EVER.

I feel so out of place in this topic haha. I really only play for fun but the only game I've ever tried to speed run on is Sonic Generations but only for 3DS! I actually prefer it over the console versions!

I've been on fire with my speedruns recently.

On Ranking Attack, I managed to boost myself up to 6TH PLACE on the Green Hill Act 1 PSN leaderboards! biggrin.png I've forgotten what the time was exactly (somewhere in the range of 36 - 38 seconds as far as I remember tongue.png).

I also smashed my previous record on Green Hill Act 2 w/skills. I've learnt how to effectively use M-Speed and superspeed and if I learn how to perfect the tilt method, I might bring it down below 1:30.00.

Old run: 1:35.35

New run: 1:32.69

Nice, I don't know anything about speed running with skills so all I can say is, it looks good :D

Also "Bubble Junkie" I love that music :D

Actually I would like to see that GHZ act 2 run without skills.

I might do one now. If you want. I'm a good runner, no where near brilliant though.

Here's another one. In this video I didn't use QSS much because it's just a waste of effort at times when you can just speed drift, which is equally as fast.

The only place where QSS is genuinely more effective than speed drifting is when you go downhill or coming out of doing a speed glitch jump.

Shit. I keep forgetting how fast Unleashed is. Gosh I hope Sonic returns to be this fast one day.

On SA2 Battle, I collected every single ring in Green Hill Zone in 3:00:35, and I'm pretty proud of this.

It's also really fun to do too, I find myself doing this often.

I was just about to comment saying you didn't collect all the rings..

But then you got the electric shield and went back.. it would probably be a lot faster to just get them all in one go then getting the shield and going back.

I have beat the time (by a couple seconds), but I've found it's faster to skip some rings on the first time through and then get the electric shield to have the ones that you missed come to you on the way back. biggrin.png

That's nice, but the max rings is 287, I think. You need to get a 20 ring bonus with one of the checkpoints.

There are the reasons I have my last name in my username, yup from 2012 Guinness Gamer's Edition

Somehow, some of my less interesting runs got mentioned for the 2013 book, Knuckles Chaotix included.
