This is a compilation cartridge with Sonic 1, Sonic 2 and Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine combined. In a pre-release copy, the text at the bottom of the game select screen was shaded.
In the US, this was released in August 1997, making it the last known Sonic game to appear on the Genesis. It was known as Sonic Classics, and was released with two different box images.
