This cartoon is probably the most bittersweet of the lot. Despised by many Sonic fans for it's absolute zero loyalty to the games, this show goes even further than the Sonic Anime and places Sonic in a different role in a completely different universe whatsoever. Did I mention he has a brother and sister, is the son of the Queen, and plays music? This is probably the most... daring game to cartoon adaptations ever made.
General Information
Created once again by DiC, Sonic Underground started its syndicated run on August 30, 1999. With 40 episodes, Sonic Underground carried a strange storyline about Sonic and his sister [Sonia] and brother [Manic] trying to get back with their mother. While they spoiled Dr. Robotnik's plans. Cheeky, eh?
