The Sonic Symphony World Tour is an officially-licensed international live music event that features orchestral, dance and rock performances of soundtracks from the Sonic the Hedgehog games. It was originally announced in June 2022, following the success of the original online-only 30th Anniversary Symphony the year prior, with a confirmation of the Tour in May 2023.
Although the official Sonic Symphony World Tour states that its 'debut' events will take place in London, UK and Los Angeles, USA in September 2023, a full Sonic Symphony performance also took place during Brazil Game Show in Sao Paulo in October 2022.
SEGA describes the event on the official website as "an immersive live experience that celebrates more than three decades of music from SEGA’s iconic mascot... [an] electrifying tribute to the music that has defined generations of gamers, old and new" [Link].
2022: Brazil Game Show
In June 2022, SEGA announced through a Sonic Central livestream event that the Sonic the Hedgehog 30th Anniversary Symphony would be getting an "Official Live Concert Tour" [Link], with one international date confirmed - the Brazil Game Show in Sao Paulo.
This took place in October 2022 with a special performance hosted on a main stage within the Brazil Game Show show floor [Link]. A VOD was later published on the official Sonic the Hedgehog YouTube channel [Link], featuring a Sonic Frontiers-themed medley to help promote the release of the then-upcoming game.
While the Brazil Game Show event marked the first international Sonic Symphony performance, and carried some of the 'Sonic Symphony World Tour' branding that would later be revealed in May 2023, it is not listed as an official Tour Date on the Sonic Symphony website.
